I actually couldn’t imagine a more damaging endorsement than Bush, and now I have it: Dick Cheney. By the way, here’s the famous Saturday Night Live opener where Bush endorses a fugitive McCain (includes Tina Fey goodness):
You know, Tina Fey’s been such a godsend to Saturday Night Live that the “Tina Fey effect” has been seriously discussed as yet another factor leading to the McCain campaign’s doom. Although I’m pretty sure that Sarah Palin dooms the campaign all by herself, here’s a little demo from CNN:
Right now, some pundits are saying that McCain’s latest appearance on SNL indicates that he’s in the acceptance stage of defeat. I’ll let you figure it out, but this is revealing, I think.
Poor Senator McCain. I want to give him a hug. Except he would probably slam me hard into a wall.
