GeekDad42,

I know, it's annoying, isn't it? A lot of people prefer to start from the beginning of series---and I usually tend to as well.

Probably the order in which a series is Kindle-ized depends on first-found, first-converted basis, and especially for older series, who the heck knows where the files have all gone.

HarperCollins, I'll note, has been surprisingly good for most series---they tend to get a series converted all at once. On good days, they get an entire author's backlist converted almost all at once. Some days I'll run into 30 books from the same author, scattered over 3 pages.

HC really is a monster.... I had to trawl through over 120 pages of new HarperCollins books in the Kindle store (and ended up being selective in the end...). So my current strategy for picking authors is to find out if they're published by HarperCollins or any of its imprints. ;)

I have like over 90 tabs left to go. ^.^ I'm going to get through them though, as I need to find <s>fresh delicious meat</s> books to review.

Arachne,

AAAARRRRGGGHHH!

Why are so many publishers releasing only books 2, 6 and 9 of a series before ever releasing book one? I am fairly anal retentive about reading series novels in order, and it is a total turnoff.

Although, I am glad to see the blurb about Michelle West's series - I have really enjoyed her books as Michelle Sagara.

Thank you for the updates.
